What Does Exposure Therapy Look Like

What Does Exposure Therapy Look Like

Soft gradient background with blurred light yellow and peach tones fading into black.

Exposure therapy helps young people break the cycle of anxiety, avoidance, and compulsions by gradually practicing facing feared thoughts, situations, or experiences.

At InStride Health, exposures are never forced. They are collaborative, personalized, and completed at a pace they control. The care team begins with manageable challenges and gradually builds toward more difficult situations as confidence grows.

Because care is virtual, young people can practice exposures in their everyday environments—with real-time support from their care team. The goal is to help them build confidence, tolerate discomfort, and get back to the people, places, and experiences that matter most.
